The Polish Sport Shooting Federation (PZSS) is the largest shooting organization in Poland.

Established in 1933, the PZSS aims to comprehensively develop and promote all disciplines of shooting sport and to ensure a high standing for Polish shooting sport in international competition. The Federation’s primary responsibilities include organizing sporting competitions, training and improving coaching, instructor and referee staff, and managing sporting competition within the field of shooting sport.

The PZSS is a member of the Polish Olympic Committee (PKOL), the International Shooting Sport Federation (ISSF), and the European Shooting Confederation (ESC).

Polish sport shooting ranks among Europe’s leading nations, as evidenced by regular medal successes at championship-level events, including the European Championships in Châteauroux in 2025 (17 medals), the European Championships in Tallinn in 2025 (17 medals), and the European Championships in Burgas in 2026 (13 medals). Polish records also deserve special attention, as they demonstrate the rising level of our athletes.

The Polish Sport Shooting Federation is not only about elite sport, but also extensive training activity aimed at practically all age groups. In this area, the PZSS has unique experience—excellent examples include the programs “Shooting for Everyone” and “Sport Shooting Activities”.

One of the PZSS’s strengths is its ability to maintain professional shooting teams in top form. The Federation has enormous potential—both human and infrastructural—which is particularly important in a situation requiring new thinking about national security. The PZSS is an obvious partner in implementing national defense-related initiatives, including shaping patriotic attitudes among young people, developing predispositions for military service, promoting shooting sport, and, above all, conducting training in the handling of firearms.

For many years, we have observed a huge increase in interest in shooting in Poland, and consequently a willingness to acquire and then continuously improve shooting skills. Since 2012, the number of people actively practicing sport shooting in our country has increased tenfold, and it is currently one of the five most popular sports in Poland.
